Delete your data

Continue? — made by Quiet Foundry. Last updated 17 August 2026.

This page explains how to permanently delete your Continue? account and everything stored with it. There are two routes: from inside the app, which is immediate, or by email if you no longer have the app installed.

Fastest: delete it yourself, in the app

Open Continue? → Backup & restore → scroll to Delete my account and cloud data. You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm.

This happens immediately and needs no request, no waiting, and no contact with us.

If you no longer have the app

Email us from the address you linked to your backup. We use the sending address to identify the account, so the request must come from that mailbox.

Email a deletion request

We will confirm once it is done. Requests are handled within 30 days, and in practice much sooner.

What gets deleted

  • Your cloud backup — the games you track, death counts and their timestamps, play-time sessions, and run history.
  • Every retained earlier snapshot of that backup.
  • Any suggestions you sent from inside the app.
  • The account record itself, including your email address if you linked one.

All of it is removed permanently and cannot be recovered afterwards, including by us. There is no grace period and no archived copy.

What is not affected

The copy on your phone. Deleting your account removes what we hold; the games and deaths on the device keep working exactly as before, they simply stop being backed up. To remove the local copy as well, uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android settings.

Purchase records held by Google Play are also outside our control. If you bought the one-time unlock, that record belongs to your Google account — see Google’s privacy policy.

If you never linked an email

Backups without an email address are deliberately anonymous: we hold no information that connects them to a person, which is also why we cannot identify one from an email request. Such a backup can only be deleted from inside the app, on the phone that owns it — the option is in the same place, Backup & restore.

If you have already uninstalled the app without deleting an anonymous backup, there is no longer any way for anyone — including us — to link that data to you. It holds nothing but game names and death counts, and its retained snapshots age out automatically.
