Continue? — made by Quiet Foundry. Last updated 17 August 2026.
Continue? is a death counter for video games. It is built local-first: your tally lives on your phone, and the cloud copy exists only so you can get it back if you lose the device. There is no advertising, no analytics, no tracking, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone.
What is stored, and where
DATA · WHERE · WHY
The games you track, your death counts and their timestamps, play-time sessions, and run history. Stored on your phone and backed up to our database if backup is on. It is the app — without it there is no tally.
ACCOUNT IDENTIFIER · OUR DATABASE
Created automatically so a backup has an owner. It is anonymous unless you add an email.
OPTIONAL EMAIL ADDRESS · OUR DATABASE
Only if you choose to add one. Used solely to send a six-digit sign-in code so you can recover your tally on a new phone. Never used for marketing.
BACKUP METADATA AND OPTIONAL SUGGESTIONS
App version and the time of the last backup are stored so a restored backup can be traced to the version that wrote it. Suggestions are stored only when you send one. They contain only what you type, are read by the developer to decide what to build, and are not paired with an email address or a reply.
There is no account and no password. You can use the entire app without ever entering an email address.
What is not collected
No advertising identifiers. No analytics or usage tracking. No location. No contacts. No device fingerprinting. No crash-reporting SDK. The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics code of any kind. Notifications are generated on your own device — the reminder that your play-time tracker is still running. There is no push server and no device token is collected.
Who else is involved
SUPABASE · DATABASE AND SIGN-IN CODES
Hosted in the EU (Ireland). It sees your backup, account identifier, and email address if you added one.
IGDB (TWITCH) · GAME NAMES AND COVER ART
Game searches are made by our server, not your phone, so IGDB does not see who searched. Cover images are loaded directly by your phone, so IGDB’s image servers receive your IP address, as with any image on the web.
NAMECHEAP PRIVATE EMAIL · OUTBOUND MAIL
It sees your email address when a sign-in code is sent to it.
GOOGLE PLAY · APP DISTRIBUTION AND PAYMENTS
Google Play handles app distribution and the payment if you buy the one-time unlock. We never see your payment details.
How long it is kept
Your backup is kept for as long as you use the app. Alongside the current backup we retain everything from the last 48 hours, then one snapshot per day for 30 days. Older snapshots are deleted automatically. If you delete your account, the current backup, every retained snapshot, any suggestions you sent, and the account record itself are removed immediately and permanently. They cannot be recovered afterwards, including by us.
Your choices
Don’t back up at all. The app works fully offline — backup is a feature, not a requirement. Don’t add an email. Backup still works; it just cannot be recovered on a different phone. Delete everything in the app under Backup & restore → Delete my account and cloud data, or use the data deletion request page if you no longer have the app installed. Delete the local copy by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in Android settings. If you are in the UK or EEA, you have the right to access, correct, export or erase your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Continue? is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with an email address, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated date above will change and the new version will be published here before it takes effect.
